We make sure that every dog feels as comfortably as possible at Hoglebjerg. How do we do that?
INDIVIDUAL APPROACH
Every dog is different and we embrace that.
Whether you have a shy 3 kg chihuahua who prefers quiet time indoors or an energetic 40 kg hunting dog who thrives on outdoor activity and new friends, we adapt to their personality and routine.
Our goal is to imitate their normal daily routine as much as possible.
SPACE
At Hoglebjerg, we have space for up to 25 dogs.
Rooms for dogs are in three separate sections, which allows us to group or separate dogs when needed. This helps us create calm surroundings and match dogs in a good way.
Outside, we have two secure outdoor yards where dogs can run, sniff, play, and go to the toilet. We also have a large private nature area where we take them for peaceful, uninterrupted walks.
Questionnaire
About a week before arrival, you’ll receive a short online questionnaire.
This helps us prepare for your dog’s stay by learning about:
- walking routines
- feeding habits
- health needs
- personality and social preferences
- favorite ways to play
The better we know your dog, the better their stay will be.
A typical day at Hoglebjerg
8:00 – 11:00: walk and playtime, followed by breakfast.
10:30 – 15:00: rest, radio playing softly
15:00 – 17:00: another walk and/or outdoor time.
17:00 – 20:00: rest with radio and own toys
20:00 – 21:00: quick toilet break and dinner
21:00 – 8:00: lights out, good night!

Extra charges?
FOOD: From our experience, many dogs suffer stomach issues when new food is introduced suddenly. Therefore, we recommend bringing your dog’s usual food. If you prefer to use ours, the cost is 20 DKK per day.
SPECIAL DAYS 2026: An additional 150 DKK per day applies on: 23/12, 24/12, 25/12, 26/12, and 31/12.
Cancellation policy?
We keep things simple and flexible.
No prepayment. No cancellation fees.
The only fee applies in case of no-show without notice.
What to bring?
REQUIRED
– vaccination certificate
– collar with name tag
NICE TO HAVE
– Your dog’s own food and treats
– bed, blanket, or towel that smells like home
– soft toys
– medication (if needed)
We provide everything your dog needs — but familiar items can make the stay even more comfortable.
